Samsung wants to put a camera in his pen

Placing the selfie camera in the Galaxy Note pen to enlarge the screen is the idea described in the patent just awarded to Samsung. Our explanations.

To get rid of the notch on the front and extend the display to the maximum, without losing the selfie photo module, manufacturers have the imagination. There was the retractable photo module with the Oppo Find X, the Nubia X and its two screens, or the Honor View 20 with its "hole" at the top of the screen. Samsung may go even further by deporting the photo module on the S-Pen that is associated with the Galaxy Note. This is in any case what suggests a patent filed in late February 2017 by the Korean and it has just been granted by the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

A secret agent pen
The patent describes a camera stylus, in the manner of James Bond, with the famous photo module and a button placed on the side to trigger the shooting. Better still, the patent specifies that this stylus could integrate a real optical zoom. The principle exploited would then be similar to that presented by Oppo with its periscopic zoom technology. Recall that the stylus of the Galaxy Note 9 already has a Bluetooth connection and a mini-battery recharged when it is inserted in the smartphone. It can also be used as a remote control to take a picture, for example.
